I just found your blog! I used to hang out a lot on some of the (now) yuku boards (as hlott). I'm so sorry to hear about your health problems. I hope that the knee replacement can be done and helps. My parents both had cataract surgery last year, and they both came through with flying colors, so don't worry. =)

Hi Kathy,

More than just a few years ago, you were my secret stitcher. When I hung the lovely Xstitch ornament you sent to me( not christmas specific so it is hanging all year) on my little Xmas tree, my thoughts turned to you. I did a search for the Mad Stitcher today and found your blog. I was on the TWBB when you were posting about your daily life at home with your husband. It's good to "see" what you are doing now. Know that everything I look at tat special ornament, I think of you and send good thoughts your way.

Hi Rebecca. I am not sure of what the word actually means but this is a chart for a stitch-a-long in the German yahoo group. http://de.groups.yahoo.com/group/Sticklounge/ You will need to join the group and then join the SAL. There are plenty of English speakers there to help out when needed. HTH.

I had shingles a number of years ago on my side. Thankfully I got the medication right away and didn't suffer any pain. I know it is very painful. My youngest son was afflected with this around his mid section when he was around 2. That was very unusual. Take care of yourself. Maria S.
